- Title
US Women Face Worst Health Access, Outcomes Among High-Income Nations.
- Abstract
The article discusses federal data which show that the U.S. has the highest maternal death rate among high-income nations as of September 2024. It cites the factors of costs, limited primary care access, and uncoordinated health services for Americans, and the U.S.'s top rating in avoidable death among women, although it leads in health care spending. Also noted is the need for targeted interventions and policy reforms to address these challenges especially from marginalized communities.
