Violencias como condición de los extractivismos.

- Abstract
Violence walks hand in hand with various forms of extractivism: massive appropriation of natural resources that constitute an accumulation modality understandable within the logic of the international division of labor, laden with a long history. Its impacts are immeasurable and manifold. These violences strike equally in the realms of democracy and the economy, as well as in Nature, extending far beyond the directly affected territories. They expand and become more complex as this accumulation modality interrelates with various forms of organized crime. Understanding the meaning and origins of extractivism, as well as its evolution and perspectives, allows us to comprehend how the social construction of violence occurs. Grasping the essence of this process opens the door to pursuing solutions aimed at halting such destruction and simultaneously building strategies that lead toward alternative civilizational horizons.
