- Abstract
Background: In the era of digitalization, the development of the Islamic Capital Market industry can be seen from the emergence of several Islamic investment instruments, such as shariah stocks whose transactions use the Shariah Online Trading System (SOTS) developed by shariah public company. For every investor, it is necessary to know how a SOTS as a transaction media has fulfilled the legality of the Islamic Capital Market supervisory institution along with the need for the involvement of a capital market Notary in shariah stocks transactions using an electronic system. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analysist the legal implementation of the shariah stocks transaction process through SOTS and the involvement of Notaries in the transaction mechanism. Method: The research method used is normative juridical research by means of legal literature studies aimed at the regulations Results: The results are expected to provide understanding and information on the application of the law in sharia stock transactions through SOTS sharia issuers. Conclusion: The importance of straightening the understanding that the attribution authority possessed by Notaries as a supporting profession in certifying sharia stock transactions electronically (cyber notary) is not to issue electronic certificates but as an authority for registering electronic certificate applications through the applicant's identity verification process and authentication of electronic contracts and/or electronic documents as proof of transactions for parties who want to invest in sharia stocks electronically.
