- Abstract
The article discusses the challenges in palliative and end-of-life care for diabetics and the importance of communication between practice nurses and their patients. It states that the factors which emphasize the need for compassionate end-of-life care from nurses, including philosophy, patient opinion, and political priorities. It says that the discussion of palliative or end-of-life care to patients can be a source of stress and anxiety for nurses. INSET: CASE STUDY 1.
