- Abstract
The article highlights the annual meeting of the Association for the Education of Teachers in Science (AETS), held at the Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City on November 7 and 8, 1958. The theme of this year's AETS was "The I.G.Y. Goes into the Schools." Two of the major contributors to the work of the conference were Stanley Ruttenberg, chief of Program Office of International Geophysical Year (IGY), and Arnold Frutkin, director of the Office of Information for IGY. The meeting also presented the new officers and members of the Executive Committee of AETS.
