The article offers information about the Supreme Court decision in Golds [2016] UKSC 61. It clarified the courts' approach to cases involving mental health considerations outside the jury's experience where the sole issue at trial was the partial defence of diminished responsibility and the psychiatric experts were substantially agreed as to the mental health of the killer at the time of the homicide.
