- Abstract
Hydratisierte Elektronen (in blau) können trotz ihr sehr kurzen Lebenszeit in Wasser mit dem bloßen Auge wahrgenommen werden. Wird ein Tropfen Wasser sorgsam auf einem Tropfen aus Na/K ‐ Legierung platziert, findet zwar eine heftige Reaktion, aber keine Explosion statt, wie S. Bauerecker, P. Jungwirth et al. in der Zuschrift auf S. 13213 ff. zeigen. Die Momentaufnahme zeigt einen glänzenden Tropfen aus Alkalimetall, der von einem blauen, elektronenreichen Bereich und weißem Hydroxid als Endprodukt der Reaktion umgeben ist.
