- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 53-year-old Indian man who presented with a 10-day history of fever, generalised itchy maculopapular rash involving the palms and soles, and jaundice. The patient had been taking Dapsone for depigmentation for one month until 10 days before admission. A hypersensitivity reaction to this drug was suspected. However, despite steroid therapy, the patient succumbed to his illness. Only after death of the subject did a Scedosporium infection reveal itself.
