- Abstract
The article provides information on an unattributed novel by Victorian author William Clark Russell entitled "Woman's A Riddle: Or, Baby Warmstrey." Henry S. King & Co. has published the novel in 1874 based on records at the Routledge & Kegan Paul archives held at University College London in England. The records show that Russell received 50 pounds for the novel's copyright on March 27, 1873. The book features a female narrator, orphaned governess Caroline Rudd. Sea imagery was said to be portrayed at the start of the story.
