- Title
Progesterone treatment in women with a threatened miscarriage remains controversial after reviewing the available literature.
- Authors

- Abstract
Progesterone has been postulated as a possible treatment option to reduce the chance of a miscarriage, but the evidence is limited (Wahabi et al. I Cochrane Database Syst Rev i 2018;[8]:CD005943). Current evidence suggests that administration of progesterone in women with threatened miscarriage may be associated with a higher incidence of live birth and reduction of miscarriage.
