A critique is presented of themes of separateness and solitude poems by American poet Robert Frost, such as "Birches," "Mending Wall," and "Provide, Provide." The social aspects of isolation, identity, and community are discussed, as well as Frost's depiction of themes such as loneliness, nature, and memory.
