- Abstract
The article discusses the significance of photoelastic detection of build errors in high fidelity pin-tool arrays. Poorly clamped headers that permit undesired process transmission to delicate positioning systems will result from array build errors. Build errors are less trivial to detect, with array sizes up to 100 x 150 mm incorporating headers of 1 mm section, and are indiscernible to the naked eye. Thus, an error detection method is required to investigate header clamping efficiency.
