- Abstract
This article presents legal developments in marketing relating to the regulation of monopolistic methods. Regarding market control, the United States Supreme Court case BankAmerica Corp. et al. v. United States is discussed, examining the issue of whether the Clayton Act prohibits interlocking directorates between banks and competing insurance companies. Regarding collusive practices, the case O.S.C. Corp. v. Apple Computer, Inc. is discussed, in which a manufacturer attempted to prohibit its dealers from selling its products by mail order. Regarding market exclusion tactics, the case Cantor v. Multiple Listing Service is discussed, involving the prohibition of competitive real estate signage .
