- Title
Full Coverage Temporization -- An Outline of Goals, Methods and Uses (I).
- Authors
Schneider, David M.
- Abstract
The article presents information on full coverage temporization in dentistry. It is stated that the goal of full coverage temporization is that a temporary crown or fixed bridge should be a permanent restoration in a temporary material. This applies to a single crown or a full maxillary and mandibular reconstruction. It is mentioned that the buccal and lingual contours should be as similar as possible to ideal tooth; and the occlusal tables should be narrow. It is stated that the use of bench cured acrylic shells is necessary for extensive fixed bridgework, if changes are to be made in occlusion, contours, or esthetics. The article also presents several photographs related to full coverage temporization.
