- Abstract
The article discusses the use of artemisinin-based combination therapies for malaria control in Ethiopia. Based on statistical data, malaria is the leading cause of death in the country with 21.8% mortality, 17.8% outpatient consultations, and 14.1% hospital admissions. The Malaria Control Program designs malaria treatment against epidemic control. Furthermore, the objective of the Health Extension Program (HEP) is to improve access and equity on health services provided in the village.
