- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the implication of industrial wastes on the production of safe water to people as well as the destruction of planktons in Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee. According to the article, a series of fish kills have been happening in the Mississippi River due to the overflow of raw sewage and stagnation. In addition, it states that although the federal government has passed a legislation which aims to insure the conservation of natural waters and establish necessary standards for its protection, the level of destruction that such pollutants have on waterways cannot be easily assessed.
