- Abstract
The article presents a case report on a 64-year-old male patient with abdominal and right leg pain who was treated for a necrotizing soft tissue infection (NSTI) after ingesting a wooden foreign body, and it mentions how an ingested tooth pick caused a cecal perforation and provoked a NSTI of the right psoas muscle. It states that NSTIs are life-threatening infections that require immediate medical and surgical care.
