- Abstract
The acquisition of case inflection still poses challenges for second language learners at lower secondary level. Case is relevant for text cohesion and thus for the reception and production of (educational) texts. Therefore, it is important to promote the acquisition of case inflection. This is what the language support concept FLEX does. The support is based on written work and is carried out, among other things, by means of corrective feedback. In the course of digitalization, which was forced by pandemics, a digital implementation of the originally analogue type of support was developed and tested at a community school in Baden-Württemberg, with the help of which case inflection can also be developed in asynchronous distance learning. In virtual support, learners work on their texts in the usual analogue way. However, feedback on their writing is then provided digitally by means of a communication app that complies with data protection regulations. This type of support is one way of implementing asynchronous distance learning. In particular, it is an alternative to computer- or laptop-based support.
