- Abstract
The article investigates the role of Polypodium Leucotomos extract (PLE) in stimulating DNA repair signals histone H2AX and P53 to prolong the keratinocyte DNA repair phase of the cell cycle. The study examined the molecular mechanisms underlying the protective effect of PLE on DNA damage and the cell cycle before or after ultraviolet irradiation treatment of human keratinocytes. The implications of this mechanism for skin cancer and aging are discussed.
