- Abstract
The article presents information on a study to find out how cardiovascular risk (CV) factors affect absolute risk in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. For the study, comparison of 574 adults without RA, matched for sex, year of birth, and length of medical history, were randomly selected patients with a history of CV disease at baseline were excluded. In patients with rheumatoid arthritis, absolute 10-year risk for cardiovascular events was 10% to 56%.
