- Abstract
The article "Theatrical Circuits of the 21st Century" summarizes the studies presented at the II International Congress of the TEAMAD Platform in October 2017. The TEAMAD platform brings together four research groups in Madrid dedicated to the research of performing arts. The article addresses topics such as theater and intermediality, applied theater and theatrical translation, and author's poetics and scenic panoramas in the 21st century. It also explores aspects of Spanish theater and analyzes the relationship between theater and television. In addition, applied theater in the business field and the importance of accessibility in theater are discussed. The text presents a series of studies on national and international theater in recent years, highlighting the inclusive theatrical performances of the festival organized by the National Dramatic Center, as well as the contribution of the artistic collective El Tinglao and the festival Una Mirada Diferente. The work of various authors and directors, such as Rodrigo García, Claudio Tolcachir, and Federico García Lorca, is also analyzed. In addition, specific aspects of the Madrid theater scene, such as lesbianism in theater and the National Classical Theater Company, are studied. Overall, the importance of performing arts and diversity in current theatrical creation is highlighted.
