- Abstract
A large collection of Russian Xantholinini preserved in the Zoological Museum of the Moscow Lomonosov State University was studied and a checklist of the species and all records are listed. New species are described and figured (Hypnogyra orientalis sp. n. from East Russia and Xantholinus samarensis sp. n. from South Russia). The following synonymies are proposed: Xantholinus laevigatus Jacobsen, 1849 = Xantholinus hochhuthi Bordoni, 1975, syn. n. and Hypnogyra hoffmanni (Bernhauer, 1928) = Xantholinus nudobiiformis Tikhomirova, 1973. Some species are new record for the listed regions: Stenistoderus versicolor (Solsky, 1871) (Astrakhan Oblast), Leptacinus sulcifrons (Stephens, 1833) (East Siberia), L. othioides Baudi, 1870 (Siberia), Allolinus insolens Smetana, 1967 (Russia), Gyrohypnus wutaiahnensis Bordoni, 2000 (Russia), G. sichuanensis Zheng, 1995 (Russia), G. ochripennis (Eppelsheim, 1892) (Siberia), Nudobius lentus (Gravenhorst, 1806) (Kirghisistan), Milichilinus decorus (Erichson, 1839) (Russia), Hypnogyra hoffmanni (Bernhauer, 1928) (Russia), Xantholinus dvoraki Coiffait, 1956 (Tajikistan), X. audrasi Coiffait, 1956 (Azerbaijan), X. tricolor (Fabricius, 1787) (Moldavia), X. haematodes Kolenati, 1846 (Georgia), X. procerus (Erichson, 1839) (Ukraina), X. caucasicus Bordoni, 1975 (North Ossetia), X. vinicolor Ushakov, 1989 (North Ossetia), and Neoypnus mandschuricus (Bernhauer, 1923) (North Korea).
