- Abstract
This article describes the case of Mycobacterium kyorinense infection in Japanese patients. The patients were treated with first-line tuberculosis drugs, mainly rifampin, isoniazid and ethambutol, but the therapies were ineffective for all patients. Mycobacterium kyorinense is a non-pigmented, slowly growing mycobacterium that was initially isolated in 2007 from a patient with pneumonia.
