- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 59-year-old single Korean man with a 10-year history of end stage renal disease (ESRD) secondary to diabetes mellitus, and the management of large interdialytic weight gain (IWG) and high blood pressure (BP) in patients on hemodialysis (HD). Topics discussed include patient given one-on-one counseling and education about importance of IWG reduction, and improved adherence to anti-hypertensive medications led to BP becoming under control.
