Modeling of Drude Medium with Two New ADE-TLM Algorithms.

- Abstract
In this paper, we suggest two new numerical algorithms for simulating dispersive medium by utilizing the Transmission Line Matrix model with the novel voltage sources and the Symmetrical Condensed Node (SCN-TLM). These algorithms are based on auxiliary differential equations and have the name of ADETLM. The suggested techniques are applied to Drude media and the averaged approximation is used to take advantage of the electric voltage and the polarization current density J. The memory requirements for ADE-TLM algorithm I and ADE-TLM algorithm II are identical. On the other hand, the derivation of the first ADE-TLM algorithm which is based on the centered approximation is simpler than the second ADETLM algorithm. In general, the proposed methods exhibit significant enhancements when compared to the other methods such as: RC, PLRC, BT and JE. In order to show the efficiency of both algorithms, their reflection coefficients have been compared with the exact theoretical results.
