- Abstract
The article describes a case of successful rechallenge with clozapine following neutropenia in a 38-year-old woman with a 20-year history of paranoid schizophrenia who had a low risk of clozapine-induced agranulocytosis/granulocytopenia using human leukocyte antigen typing. After clozapine was initiated, her psychotic symptoms improved but her white blood cell count increased so the drug was discontinued. The patient did not develop neutropenia during the second clozapine regimen.
