- Abstract
As the recommended oral dose for FFC in aquaculture is 10-15 mg/kg biomass/day for 10 days (USFDA, 2008), the therapeutic dose was fixed as 15 mg/kg/day. The treatment resulted in the clearance of viable pathogen from infected fish, whereas the non-treated fish remained carriers. Antimicrobial resistance and virulence characteristics of Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Vibrio harveyi from natural disease outbreaks of marine/estuarine fishes.
