- Abstract
Teacher training as a university academic activity must ensure that each trained teacher must be able to respond to the different requirements that the school system currently has. At this point, a difficulty is revealed since the entrance of the novice teacher to his first steps work is configured as a stage full of uncertainty and tensions that do not allow him to have an optimal performance. In this study we sought to understand the meanings given by novice teachers to their professional training from the experience of professional practice. In order to address the study problem, an investigation was guided under the Interpretive Paradigm with the Phenomenology Method. The Semi-structured Interview technique was used to collect data from 15 new teachers, (6 women and 9 men) using Content Analysis and Speech Analysis to the data analysis process. As evidence, the difficulties presented in the professional teaching exercise referred to skills to solve emerging problems and the poor management of administrative and technical aspects involved in teaching work in school are highlighted.
