- Title
To biopsy or not to biopsy?
- Authors
Seregard, Stefan
- Abstract
The article presents the author's opinion on routine presumed malignant intraocular tumors in adults. The issue is reportedly controversial, as most intraocular tumors can be reliably diagnosed using non-evasive techniques and such the risk prone biopsies are contentious. He refers to researches and comments of researchers that suggests that opthalmologists should depend on morphology based diagnosis and presents his own opinion that biopsy does become necessary at times.
