- Abstract
The article describes a pilot study to compare uric acid levels in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) uric acid of dogs with intracranial meningiomas with those with a normal central nervous system. Included in the study were six dogs with histopathologically diagnosed intracranial meningiomas and five control dogs of similar age with no evidence of intracranial disease. It indicates that there is a significant increase in uric acid in he CSF of dogs with intracranial meningioma.
