- Abstract
The article discusses the butterfly Eumaeus atala has native to southern Florida, the Bahamas, and Cuba, the larvae feed on cycads in the genus Zamia. Topics include eggs and larvae have found on 20 cycad species, other authors have reported E. atala feeding on additional cycad species; and a large, persistent population inhabits the Montgomery Botanical Center, a research and conservation garden.
