- Abstract
The article offers information on the history, legislative regulation and moral and ethical aspects of prenatal genetic diagnosis and testing with relevance to genetic testing laws in the U.S. It discusses the moral theories of utilitarianism for public policy such as the Kantian Moral Theory concerning the ethics of prenatal genetic diagnosis. It also discusses the importance of preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PIGD) in embryos testing.
