Experimental study on the characteristics of slag-lime-water glass composite cured mud.

- Abstract
Engineering mud treatment has always been a difficult problem in engineering construction. Disposing the engineering construction waste mud efficiently and economically is of great significance to engineering construction. In order to achieve better treatment, this paper introduces a new research method, which is to treat engineering mud through a new composite material made of slag, quicklime, and sodium silicate. The effect of different curing material ratios, water glass dosing, and age on the unconfined compressive strength of the solidified on the treated mud was carried out in the study. The curing effect of the mud was the best when the mass ratio of slag and quicklime was 17:3 and the content of water glass was 5%, and the 28-day unconfined compressive strength could reach 2.752 MPa. The strength of curing mud increased with the curing age, and the growth rate would be slowed down with age. The cementitious substances such as calcium silicate hydrate, calcium aluminate hydrate, and calcium hydroxide produced by the slag mixed with quicklime and water glass are the main factors affecting the strength. The prediction equation of unconfined compressive strength at different ages is obtained for the actual reference.
