The article offers information on the Chapter 287 of the California legislature, which amends the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) for addressing higher standards for religious accommodation for employees in the workplace. It informs that Chapter 287 provides greater federal religious protection against religious discrimination to employees who were identified with their dress or grooming practices than Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
