- Abstract
By MCI-Gel and silica gel column chromatography methods, five flavonoids were isolated from EtOAc-solved portion of CH3 OH extraction from Vitex trifolia L. var. simplicifolia Cham. of Xishuangbanna of Yunnan Province. On the basis of physicochemical and spectroscopic analysis, these compounds were identified as casticin(1), 3', 5-dihydroxy-3, 4', 7-trimethoxy flavone (2), 4', 5-dihydroxy-3, 6, 7-trimethoxy flavone (3), vitexin(4), and kaemferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5). Compounds 2-5 were isolated from this plant for the first time. The bacteriostasis activity and the resistance to hydroxyl radical oxidation were preliminarily studied. The resistance to hydroxyl radical oxidation of compounds 2 and 3 was reported for the first time.
