- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study on the susceptibility profiles of European Bacteroides fragilis to antibiotic. According to the authors, the preferred antibacterial agents for Bacteroides fragilis infections include broad-spectrum penicillins, metronidazole, clindamycin, maxifloxacin, and tigecycline. They add that the use of carbapenems has led to the development of carbepenem resistance. They also mention the promising activity of tigecycline against European anaerobeic isolates.
