- Abstract
The article presents a study which discusses the framework to estimate sediment loads using distributions with covariates at Beaurivage River watershed in Québec during 1989 to 2004. It states that the covariates considered in the application to the Canadian watershed are streamflow and calendar day. It discusses the comparison of different statistical models which show that the log-normal distribution with a mean value depending on streamflow, a constant coefficient of variation for streamflow dependence, and a constant standard deviation for calendar day dependence provide the best result. It explores the selected model used to estimate the distribution of annual sediment loads for the watershed for a selected period.
