- Abstract
The author reflects on the impact of climate change on biodiversity. The author states that climate change and human modification of the landscape are synergistic, thus, affect biodiversity and the stability of ecosystems. Moreover, the author mentions the ALARM research project funded by European Union which aims to apply best understanding of how terrestrial and freshwater organisms and ecosystems function and to use new ways to assess large scale environmental risks.
