- Abstract
Objetivo: O FAST HUG representa um aliado na manutenção diária dos cuidados aos pacientes críticos, permitindo uma assistência de qualidade. Este trabalho objetiva avaliar se houve a observação dos itens propostos pelo checklist FAST HUG para o cuidado de pacientes em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI). Métodos: Estudo descritivo e transversal, que analisou prontuários de pacientes de uma UTI de hospital de grande porte situado no Oeste Paulista, no período de janeiro a junho de 2016, quanto aos itens propostos pelo cheklist FAST HUG. Os dados foram descritos em valores absolutos, porcentagem, média e desvio padrão. Resultados: A amostra foi composta por 280 prontuários sendo 117 mulheres e 163 homens, com idade de 57,0±19,4. A média de dias de internação foi 4,4±5,7. A prescrição dietética foi de 195 com dieta por via oral, 84 em Terapia de Nutrição Enteral e 1 sem preenchimento em prontuário. No item analgesia o medicamento mais utilizado é a dipirona, seguido de fentanil. A grande maioria dos pacientes, não estavam sedados. 131 pacientes tiveram profilaxia medicamentosa para trombose venosa profunda. Em 100% dos prontuários analisados o decúbito elevado e a profilaxia para úlcera por estresse (com maior uso ranitidina) foram encontrados. Todos pacientes tiveram controle glicêmico e dentre estes, oito fizeram uso de bomba de insulina continua. Conclusão: Concluímos que todos itens do checklist FAST HUG foram observados, porém se faz necessário o uso sistemático de escalas de controle de dor e realização rotineira de profilaxia mecânica para trombose venosa profunda.
