- Abstract
The article focuses on the appropriate application of educational technology and interaction in a composition seminar for honors students for building a community of learners. It states that for the success of honors courses, student-instructor interaction is essential and educational technology can enhance traditional interactions like lectures. It describes the importance of implementing course management system such as Blackboard Vista for enhancing the quality of face-to-face interaction in the honors class and giving more time to focus on required learning outcomes. It concludes that educational technology supports students learning by meeting the needs of large seminar classes and by allowing instructors to interact with students of all academic levels.
