Operacije nosnog septuma (septoplastike) u dečijem uzrastu.

- Abstract
Cilj studije je da se ukaže na značaj operacija nosnog septuma u detinjstvu, kao mogućnost rane korekcije funkcionalnih i kozmetičkih deformiteta nosa. Studijom je obuhvaćeno 76 dece, starosti od 7 do 15 godina, koja su hirurški tretirana zbog devijacije nosnog septuma u periodu od januara 2001. do decembra 2009. godine. Od ukupnog broja pacijenata (76) - 48 (63%) su bili muškog pola, a 28 (37%) ženskog pola. Najmanji broj pacijenata bio je uzrasta od 7 do 9 godina - 5 (6,5%), izmedju 10 i 12 godina starosti bilo je 28 (37%), a 43 (56,5%) bilo je uzrasta od 13 do 15 godina. Heteroanamnestički podaci su ukazivali da je devijacija nastala kao posledica povrede kod 58 (76%) dece, i to kod 13 (22%) nekoliko meseci do godinu dana pre intervencije, a kod 45 (78%) više od godinu dana ranije. Samo 7 (9%) je navelo nasledni faktor, a njih 11 (14%) nije moglo da odredi tačan uzrok nastanka devijacije. Primenjena je zatvorena hirurška tehnika, koja je obuhvatala hemitransfiksionu inciziju sa klasičnom submukoznom resekcijom septuma. Devirani deo septuma je odstranjen u celini. Kod 65 (85%) pacijenata je postignuto poboljšanje u disanju na nos. Najčešća komplikacija je bila nosna opstrukcija zbog nedovoljno uklonjenog deviranog dela septuma u 6 (8%), perforacija septuma u jednom i apsces septuma u jednom slučaju. Nije bilo estetskih deformiteta. Hirurški tretman devijacija nosa kod dece treba da bude konzervativan i ograničen na povredjeno tkivo. Posle operacije dolazi do značajnog poboljšanja funkcije nosa, bez posledica na dalji rast i estetski izgled srednjeg dela lica.
