- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which aims to create the material with MgO:Al,N films to meet the demand of the protective layer in plasma displays which can yield in high electron emission by xenon (XE) ion irradiation with surface stability. It presents meta-stable de-excitation spectroscopy to examine the interaction between the discharge gas and the surface of the material. It reveals that magnesium oxide (MgO) is marketed as a protective layer of plasma displays with Ne/Xe discharge gas.
