- Abstract
The article examines the role of sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) receptor axis in the migration of neural stem cells toward a site of spinal cord injury. The increase concentration of S1P in the spinal cord contributed to the migration of in vivo transplanted neural stem/progenitor cells through its receptor S1P[sub 1]. S1P and its receptor may have therapeutic potential for central nervous system injuries.
