- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 87-year-old male patient presented with asymptomatic thrombocytopenia and mild normocytic, normochromic anaemia. It informs that he had a history of a progressively enlarging hepatic mass. It further informs that the patient's thrombocytopenia, coagulopathy and mild anaemia were attributed to Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon (KMP), a consumptive coagulopathy caused by platelet trapping and subsequent consumption of clotting factors in vascular tumours.
