- Abstract
The article focuses on a study for the treatment of arterial and venous thromboses with oral anticoagulants (OAC) to reduce morbidity and mortality. Topics discussed include rise in OAC usage due to increasing evidence on their effectiveness with drug warfarin, disadvantages of treatment like numerous drug interaction, slow onset and offset action, and regular laboratory monitoring which reduces demand, and several commonly available OAC including Apixaban, Dabigatran and Rivaroxaban.
