- Abstract
The article discusses field studies intended to determine the effects of sugar beet by-product application on nitrogen release and crop yields over the course of two growing seasons. This research was conducted due to the fact that the land application of food processing wastes has become an acceptable practice because of nutrient value and fiscal savings. The control treatment was fertilized with nitrogen fertilizer. Wheat was grown in one year, and sugar beets were grown in the subsequent year.
