- Abstract
Objectives: The study aims to explore the faculty members' educational wisdom at Yarmouk University in Jordan from the students' perspective, based on the variables of gender and academic program. Methods: The study employs a descriptive-quantitative approach. The sample consists of 644 male and female students (295 males and 349 females) who are selected using the stratified random sampling. A research tool is developed to measure the educational wisdom of faculty members, comprising six dimensions: broad and deep knowledge, selfinsight, empathy and emotional regulation, balance and harmony, ethical orientation and commitment, and wise management of life. Results: The study reveals that the educational wisdom of faculty members is at a high level overall and across all dimensions. The "ethical orientation and commitment" dimension ranks first, while the "empathy and emotional regulation" dimension ranks last. The results indicate no statistically significant differences attribute to gender on the overall research tool. However, statistically significant differences are found on three dimensions: "extensive knowledge" favors females, while "balance and equilibrium" and "ethical orientation and commitment" favor males. The results also show statistically significant differences attribute to the academic program on the overall research tool and all dimensions, favoring the higher program compared to the lower one. Conclusion: The study suggests universities prioritize faculty members' educational wisdom, urging administrations to promote and cultivate it. Additionally, the recommendation includes implementing training courses for new faculty members to bolster their educational wisdom, recognizing its significance in positively influencing both faculty members' and students' personalities in the educational process.
