- Abstract
The article presents a study that investigates the effect of stochastic sequence for non-timber forest product harvest in variable environments. The study used Markov chains to examine the impact of different patterns of harvesting intensity on stochastic population growth rate and its elasticity to perturbation. It reveals that modeling the temporal variability of harvest intensity provides insights that are drawn from a fixed distribution.
