- Abstract
The article offers information on sleep disordered breathing in patients with artrial fibrillation (AFib) and normal systolic left ventricular function. The study concludes an increased frequency of sleep-disordered breathing in patients with AFib and a higher prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea that is stated to be of relevance for primary and secondary prevention of AFib. Also the study indicates a high proportion of patients with Cheyne-Stokes respiration caused by AFib.
