- Authors
LEACH, RICHARD H.
- Abstract
The article present information on several interstate authorities of the U.S. including the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, the Lake Champlain Bridge Commission and the Maine-New Hampshire Interstate Bridge Authority. Out of these authorities, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission is a larger operation with jurisdiction over 110 miles of waterfront in the Delaware River valley in New York, Delaware and New Jersey, and maintains and operates five toll bridges and thirteen free bridges across the Delaware River, Kansas. It further discusses the problems faced by these interstate authorities. It states that since there are so few interstate authorities and since they involve so few states, so very little attention has been paid to them by students in the field.
